Hello mi familia! :)
Things have really been taking off here in our area! So many good things have happened this week! I'll catch you guys up on everything... :)
Adrian (Sonia's 10 year old) is back on date!! He has another baptisimal date for August 13! It's been amazing to see the difference in him since we postponed it from having it July 30th. He is actually excited about having it now and everything is just so much better. He came up to Sis. Young yesterday and told her that he's really excited for his baptism. We've been going over and reading the Book of Mormon with him every day and that's made a big difference to. He really wasn't ready for the 30th and Heavenly Father knew that he wouldn't be ready then. It's amazing the difference of how we have felt as the missionaries between helping him prepare for the 30th and now helping him prepare for the 13th. Keep him in your prayers! He's doing awesome right now though.
The other exciting news is about Jennifer Berry! We had a lesson with her on Tuesday and she was kinda talking about baptism and about her husband Justin and just the way she was talking about baptism, it sounded like she was ready to make that step. But two days before she told us that she wasn't. Well, so we asked her, "What's holding you back from being baptized?" She simply told us, "justin. I don't want to take this step with out him." Justin is a member, just less active, and she wants him to be able to baptize her. So we told her okay, we'd start working with him too. Well, in that lesson too we kinda talked about the Word of Wisdom and she said she'd give up her coffee. She is so prepared now! Well, she called us on Wednesday and after talking with her for a bit about Fiona's baptism, she ended up setting her own baptismal date for Sept 17 to be baptized with Fiona! She and Justin have given up coffee and Justin is working on quitting smoking! Fiona's 8th birthday is on Sept 17 so they will be getting baptized together. This family is amazing and I love them so much and it's been amazing to see how much the gospel has changed their lives and their family. There's less yelling in the home and Jennifer has really calmed down. In such a short period of time, there's been such a huge change. That's the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ in action! People can't change people, but a realization and application of the gospel of Jesus Christ changes people. Keep Justin and Jennifer in your prayers, especially Justin that he will continue to prepare to be able to baptize Jennifer and Fiona.
I love this gospel and love how much my testimony has grown in such a short period of time. Thank you so much for all your love and support! I love you all so much!
Love,
Hermana Haws
