Windy, windy, windy!!

Querida Familia!

  What a great week it's been! Yesterday was Memorial Day and so we got to keep visiting people and it was a great day. We've been walking and riding and talking with everyone. There has been a lot of wind this past week too, so that made bike riding a bit interesting... :) Our power went out for a couple of hours one day this week because the wind was so bad. But, everything is going good and I'm loving the little town of Warden more and more each week! The members are wonderful and we're finding people to teach, and it's amazing here!
  So, update on how everybody's doing!  Charmain Halverson:  Her uncle passed away this past week so it's been kind of hard to meet with her.  But the good news is that she found out that one of the sons of the uncle that passed away is a member and she's had a chance to talk with him.  She' been asking him how did he decide to join and what differences has he seen since he's joined, etc.  He told her that it's been the best decision by far that he's made in his life and that it's made him more family oriented and that he's so grateful for the gospel in his life.  That really touched her, so we're excited to meet with her tomorrow.  Crisiti Gomez:  Crisit did her reading and she had actually written down questions that she had.  We talked with her about the Book of Mormon and why we have it and why we need it.  She believes it's a good book but doesn't think that it's necessary.  We asked her if she's ever really sincerely prayed about it and she said no, so we talked to her about the importance of doing that.  Silvia Solano:  We had a good lesson with her and her girls.  I seriously love this family so much.  They are so special!  Silvia hadn't read again, so in the lesson we talked about the importance of the Book of Mormon and we read Moroni 10:4-5 with her.  When she finished reading it she let out an audible, "Woah."  We asked her what she thought and she said that it was so beautiful.  We testified to her about the blessings that come from reading and she said that she would make more of an effort to do it.  Geraldine:  She is a daughter of some of our spanish members, but she's married and has her own little family.  We went by and had a good chance to talk to her. She said she's catholic, but only because that's what's familiar to her.  She said that she really doesn't agree with their teachings.  She also said that she believes the gospel of Jesus Christ should just be simple.  We talked to her about just how simple it was and we talked about the gospel of Jesus Christ.  As we were talking about it, she opened up a little bit more.  She agreed to let us come back and explain more about how we know what the gospel of Jesus Christ is and how we have it back on the earth in it's fulness.  We're pretty excited to be able to share more with her.
  Things are going so well here in Warden!  Oh, and something else that's fun is that tonight Sis. Ziegler and I get a chance to teach Daily Dose (The church's english class program)! We have our first class tonight.  We found four people that said they'd like to come and then we were talking to the Cavazos (Spanish branch members) and Bro. Cavozos said that he's been praying for a way to be able to share the gospel with his friends, and he really feels like this is a way.  He said he has like four or five people coming tonight. We're super excited! Even though we don't talk much about the gospel in these classes, we start with a prayer and they're held in the chapel.  There have been a lot of really neat experiences that have happened with Daily Dose so we're excited to have it going on here.
