Querida Familia!!
What a wonderful week this has been! So many great things have happened, I'm just so excited and happy to be here in Warden! But, holy cow, May just flew by! Can you believe it's already JUNE?! Yeah, me neither... Mom and Dad, Happy Anniversary on Wednesday! I love you both and am grateful for the example that the two of you have been for me. Well, let me tell you about how the week has been... Updates on everybody!
Charmain: Haven't been able to see her lately... We have a lesson set up for Thurs, so hopefully that goes through. Daisy: Is a sweet young mom that we're teaching. She doesn't have a lot of religious knowledge, but she's willing to learn more. She wants to teach her son, Darius, good things so that he'll be a good person. She's reading and trying to understand, so we're excited to be working with her. Geraldine: We had some awesome lessons with her this week.... She's married and has her own family and has seen missionaries before but has not been excited to talk with them. Anyways, we've taught her a couple of different times and they've been great lessons. She really thinks about things and she knows what she's looking for. This past week we taught her the Restoration and before we could even talk about the Book of Mormon, she brought it up. So we explained it and she said, "Well, I'll just have to read it and know for myself then." So we left her with 2 Nephi 31 to read and then we came back later in the week and talked about the gospel of Jesus Christ. She'd read the chapter and loved it. She said it made perfect sense and was what she believed and that it's like what she's used to in the Bible. She opened up a lot to us though about her husband. He believes that religion is traditional and that because all of his family for past generations have been Catholic, he's going to be catholic too. Well, Geraldine does not agree with their teachings and doesn't want to teach her daughter those things. When we talked to her about the gospel and how she felt meeting with us, she got teary eyed and said, "I feel peace. This feels right. And it's what I want to do." We invited her to be baptized but she said that she would need to talk to her husband. We're praying that his heart will soften so that she can share a little more with him about how she's felt as she's met with us and read and prayed. It was a very powerful lesson and I was so grateful for the help of the Holy Ghost. She's amazing!! Ramona: Okay, so Ramona isn't quite an investigator yet, but we had a fantastic talk with her yesterday. We went to go knock on a potential's door but their neighbor, Ramona, was out sweeping her porch so we went up and started talking to her. She asked us which church we were from and we told her and then she asked if we were the church who was offering the english classes. We told her yes and that we were the teachers and we explained a little bit more about the classes. But then I told her, "You know, besides just the english classes, as missionaries we share a very special message about Jesus Christ and his restored gospel." That led into a conversation about beliefs and she shared some of hers and we shared ours and told her about the Book of Mormon. While talking about it she said that lately she's been feeling like she needs to do more to know more about God and Jesus Christ and that she feels like what she has isn't quite enough. We bore our testimony to her about the power of the Book of Mormon and how it does give us more knowledge and understanding of God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ. She gladly accepted a copy and we left her with 3 Nephi 11 to read. She says she can't have us over right now though because she's living with a guy that won't accept visitors but she's planning on moving out soon and as soon as she does she'll tell us where she lives and then we can come back again. But, she said that she would come to the english classes and would talk more to us there. Hopefully we'll get a chance to see her tomorrow at class!
Speaking of Daily Dose, we had our first class last Tuesday and one person came. But this week we've talked to some more members and re visited some people that said they'd like to come and we put fliers up around town (that's one of the beauties of small towns). We've had one person call us for more information about the classes who said they'd like to come tomorrow and Ramona had saw a flier and that's what started our whole conversation. So, hopefully we have a better turn out tomorrow.

Warden can't decide if it really wants to have summer yet :) I am so grateful for the chance I have to be here in Warden and to be serving and loving the people here. This really is the Lord's church, His work, and He helps us do it. He helps all of us in all that we do. I love you all and I'll talk to you next week!
