Hello Family!

Hello Family!
  Can you believe how fast the weeks are going?  I most definitely can not...  We had a really busy week this week and lots of things happened.
   First and foremost, we had zone conferences this weekend and Elder Lynn G. Robbins of the Seventy was here.  He had a special fireside Tuesday night for investigators and recent converts and we, the missionaries, were able to go if we had an investigator or recent convert there.  It was so good!  He had a couple of recent converts tell their conversion stories and then he talked and went through the Restoration.  He is such a good speaker and the things he said, though nothing new, were really interesting to listen to. Then on Wednesday we had zone conference and he talked to us a lot about the importance of planning and the need to have faith while planning.  He also talked about finding and the importance of preparing.  He just has a way of presenting the material and the 4hour training flew by.  Definitely a neat experience. 
  With our investigators this week, Jessica is making leaps and bounds of progress.  She told us last Sunday that she really "felt it" at Jen's baptism and so this week when we went and talked to her, we set a date for the 8th of October.  She is so excited, it's amazing.  Sis Young and I definitely learned, again, that it's not up to us to decide when people are ready.  Of course they consult with us, but when the Spirit works on them, that's the real teacher, not us.  We also had a chance to sit down and talk with her husband, Josh, and that went really well.  He has grown up Pentecostal and even though he hasn't gone to church in years, he was not supportive of Jessica.  Notice the use of "was"not supportive.  We had a chance to sit down and talk with him and Jessica and to just answer all his questions and we talked a little about the differences between the pentecostal beliefs and ours and then we talked a lot about the Restoration and the Book of Mormon.  He just had the opportunity to ask all his questions and at the end of it he said,"Oh, yeah.. That makes a lot of sense now."  So a couple days later we were talking to Jessica and she says he's a lot more supportive now that he understands it.  This family is awesome too!  I love the Corey family and am so grateful to see the growth that Jessica has made.
  We did an exchange with Hayden and this time Sis. Weisner came here.  She's a temple square sister from Switzerland and she is so honest and so funny!  We had a lot of good laughs on the exchange and I think the thing that I learned the most from her was to just be yourself when teaching.  Be genuine and real.  Today we had the chance to go with Sis. Palmer to Couer d'Alene again with the sisters and it always is just neat to have an opportunity with the sisters.  They're all great and there's something different to learn from each and every one.
